If you would like to set up a stand in or in front of the Georg Forster building, hold a conference or similar event, please follow all the instructions on this page.

For the reservation of the GFG foyerplease send the application form by e-mail to geschaeftsfuehrungfb02 (at) uni-mainz.de

The Infrastructural Property Management is exclusively responsible for the approval of stands or festivals in the outdoor area of the GFG, further information and application form here: Lecture Hall Allocation / Room Management | Infrastructural Property Management (uni-mainz.de).

Reservation of a seminar room in the GFG:
– Student councils contact the room allocation department: raum020507@uni-mainz.de
Other university groups and organizers contact the Central Services: hoersaalvergabe@uni-mainz.de

If you would like to use a seminar room in the GFG after 10 p.m., you need special permission from the Dean’s Office of FB 02, otherwise the locking service will expel you from the room after 10 p.m.. Please contact the person named opposite.

Please note that you must submit your application or request at least three weeks before the desired date, otherwise it cannot be guaranteed that your event can take place on your desired date.

To reserve the dean’s office room or the meeting room of the FB 02 dean’s office, simply send an email to Ms. Koslosky/Mrs. Ohters at dekanatfb02@uni-mainz.de

A celebration in one of the two student workrooms (04.112 and 02.501) does not have to be approved by the management of FB 02, as these two rooms are managed by the student councils in the GFG themselves. The student councils must clarify among themselves whether the student workroom is free on the desired date.

Very important for everyone: if you are celebrating in a seminar room, foyer or student common room and use mulled wine or other objects that cause steam or smoke, you must fill out the “Application for suppression of a fire alarm loop” on the right and fax it to the number provided three days before the celebration. This is because steam and smoke activate the fire alarms as they interrupt the infrared signal. If you do not do this, you may have to pay the costs of the fire department call-out.

In addition, the Studierendenwerk asks that you inform Ms. Militello from the GFG cafeteria of the date of your waffle/cake and/or mulled wine sale in advance so that the Bambus cafeteria can adjust its orders: Militello@studierendenwerk-mainz.de.

Please note that the building is locked from midnight to 7.45 a.m. and during this time you can only enter with a transponder. Please refrain from blocking the doors with stones, as this will damage the doors and cause high repair costs.
